Home-Start was set up in 1973 and now has a network of more than 12,000 trained volunteers in over 325 schemes throughout the UK. Each project is firmly rooted in the heart of the community but the approach is always the same - parents supporting other parents. By sharing their time and friendship, volunteers offer families an opportunity to build up their confidence, develop new skills and enjoy family life.
